The Barre Center for Buddhist Studies (BCBS) is a study and retreat center adjacent to the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts. Founded in 1990, BCBS offers courses, study retreats, and self-study programs that combine meditation practice with scholarly study of Buddhist texts and philosophy. It serves as an academic complement to the practice-focused programs at IMS.
