Rinzai-ji Zen Center in Los Angeles is a Rinzai Zen center originally founded to support the teaching activities of Joshu Sasaki Roshi, who taught in America for over 50 years. The center offers daily zazen, teisho (dharma talks), and dokusan (private interviews). It maintains the traditional Rinzai emphasis on koan practice and intensive sesshin retreats.
