About
Ayu Khandro Dorje Paldrön (1838–1953) was a Tibetan yogini and Dzogchen practitioner who reportedly lived to the age of 115. She spent over fifty years in solitary retreat, practicing the dark retreat and togal, and was a holder of both the Nyingma and Bon lineages. Her life story, preserved through her student Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, is one of the most remarkable accounts of female mastery in Tibetan Buddhism.
