Jon Kabat-Zinn is a professor of medicine emeritus and the creator of the Stress Reduction Clinic and the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He developed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program in 1979, which has been instrumental in bringing mindfulness into mainstream medicine and culture. He studied with Zen teachers including Seung Sahn and vipassana teachers including Joseph Goldstein and Sharon Salzberg. His books include 'Full Catastrophe Living' and 'Wherever You Go, There You Are.'
