Noah Levine is an American Buddhist teacher and author who founded Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society and the Refuge Recovery movement. The son of Buddhist teacher Stephen Levine, he turned to meditation while struggling with addiction and punk rock culture. His books 'Dharma Punx' and 'Refuge Recovery' brought Buddhist practice to new audiences, particularly those in recovery from addiction. He trained in both Theravada and Zen traditions.
