Deer Park Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in the Plum Village tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, located in Escondido, California. Founded in 2000 on 400 acres in the chaparral hills north of San Diego, it is home to monks and nuns who practice mindful living. The monastery offers retreats, Days of Mindfulness, and residential practice for monastics and lay practitioners. It is one of three Plum Village practice centers in the US.
